At the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, Islamiyat Adebukola Yusuf won Team Nigeria’s fourth medal.
After a combined lift of 212kg, Yusuf won the bronze medal in the women’s 64kg weightlifting division.
The 19-year-old hoisted 93 kg in the snatch and clean and jerk, bringing her total weight lifted to 212 kg.

On Saturday, Adijat Olarinoye won the nation of Nigeria its first gold medal in the weightlifting competition.
In the women’s 55kg division, Olarinoye accomplished a magnificent lift.

On Sunday, Edidiong Umoafia won the bronze medal in the weightlifting competition.
