Egypt Al Masry Sacks Coach Hossam Hassan At The End Of Season

Egyptian Premier League side Al Masry announced on Wednesday that the club doesn’t intend to keep Hossam Hassan as head coach after the closure of the season.
The club board decided to thank coach Hassan and other technical and medical staff members for their efforts with the team. We wish them the best of luck.” Read a short statement by the Port Said-based club on Twitter.

On 12 June, Masry announced re-hiring the 56-year-old and former Egypt striker to succeed Tunisian boss Moine Chaabani who was sacked after a series of poor results.

Egypt’s all-time leading scorer Hassan managed to rescue Masry from relegation this season. The club ends the league competition in the 13th place with 38 points, 39 points behind champions Zamalek.

Under the guidance of Hassan, Masry played 15 games; winning in six, drawing in six, and losing three, including the final match against Arab Contractors on Tuesday.
