Friendly Algeria Home Based Team Holds Super Eagles To A Draw

In a test match against a local Algerian team on Friday in Constantine, the Super Eagles were held to a 2-2 tie.

Prior to the international friendly match against the Desert Foxes, the Nigerian team, coached by Jose Peseiro, has been practicing in Algeria.

Karim Aribi, a striker for J.S. Kabiyle, scored the game’s first goal in the 33rd minute to give the hosts a lead after 30 minutes of scoreless play.

Nigeria’s performance in the game was altered by the second-half introductions of Cremonese striker Cyril Dessers and Everton FC midfielder Alex Iwobi.

Before Aymen Mahious tied the score to make it 2-2 for the Super Eagles, both players scored to put the Super Eagles up 1-2.

The Super Eagles’ next international match comes on Tuesday in Oran against the Desert Foxes.
