CAF Champions League CAFCC: Kwara United Stuns RS Berkane In Lagos

Kwara United, representing Nigeria, came from behind to defeat RS Berkane of Morocco in the first leg of the Confederations Cup qualifying round.

After receiving a bye in the first round, the defending champion Morocco giants arrived in the nation on Friday full of optimism.

They took over the game after scoring the first goal through Cheik Qattara in the eighth minute.

Taofeek Ahmed’s game-tying goal in the 73rd minute gave the Afonja Warrior some breathing room.
Wasiu Jimoh gave the home team its first lead in the 84th minute, and four minutes later, Daniel scored his third goal to make the score 3-1.

The rematch will take place in Morocco the following weekend, with the Nigerian team taking on RS Berkane.
