Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie is elated to win his first trophy with FC Barcelona as the Catalonian side beat arch-rivals Real Madrid to lift Spanish Super Cup on Sunday night in Riyadh.
The 26-year is not having the debuts he would have dreamt for when leaving AC Milan, but still he has already won his first accolade with Barcelona.
As usual, Kessie was once again left on the the bench by Xavi Hernandez despite the fact that he was a regular starter with AC Milan in Italy.

The Spanish tactician has more confidence in his young counterparts Gavi and former teammate Sergio Busquets than the Ivorian midfilder.
Franck Kessie only came on for Barcelona in the 87th minute on Sunday in the club’s 3-1 win over Real Madrid.
Even though he would prefer to have more playing time, the 26-year old is nevertheless happy to claim his first medal with his new club.
“Happy to celebrate my first trophy with FC Barcelona. Come on champions”, he wrote on Instagram.
In addition, Franck Kessie made 17 appearances across all competitions with FC Barcelona this season, most of which were as a second-half substitute. He scored once.
