CHAN 2022 Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena revealed the club has sent some scouts to Algeria for them to monitor emerging talents in the ongoing CHAN 2022 competition.

Despite beating SuperSport United 1-0 on Monday and extending their lead at the top of Dstv Premiership, Masandawana want to bolster their workforce again.

It’s understood that the club especially wants to sign a new striker in order to solve their goal scoring issues knowing Peter Shalulile is currently sidelined due to injury.

“Yes, we always have guys there,” Mokwena said in his post-match press conference.

“Ezzy, what an incredible human being, Ezrom Nyandoro, the legend.

“He came to say goodbye to me, he doesn’t have to, but, he came to say goodbye.

“We are on the way to CHAN, and of course, the club knows the position that we feel we need to improve in.

“They have gone there to look and see what type of talent they can find.”
