Bundesliga Choupo-Moting set conditions before extending Bayern Munich contract

Cameroon forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has reportedly set conditions before accepting a contract extension with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

The 33-year old’s current deal expires in June with the Bavarian side and he is being linked with a move away.

Manchester United was among the clubs Choupo-Moting was linked with before the Premier League side signed Burnley loanee Wout Weghorst from Besiktas.

Now, the club wants to keep him but the Indomitable Lion is asking for some conditions to be met before puting pen on paper.

According to BILD, the former Paris Saint-Germain star requires a salary increase.

Choupo-Moting who is currently earning €3,5m per year wants a pay rise as he became one of the club’s most decisive players since Robert Lewandowski’s departure.

Bayern Munich officials are said to be opened to discuss the salary with Choupo, however they are stick to their plans with players over 30-year old which is to hand them only a one-year contract extension. Both parties will meet next week to to continue negotiations.

In addition, Choupo-Moting has 11 goals and 3 assists to his name in 16 appearances across all competitions this season.
