Europa League Man United star ruled out of Barcelona double clash in Europa League

Man United

Manchester United announced on Tuesday that one of their star players is ruled out for several weeks and will then miss their double tie against La Liga’s FC Barcelona in Europa League in February.

The Red Devils are on a very good run since the restart after the World Cup break.

Erik ten Hag’s side continues to make wonders apart from a 2-3 loss against Arsenal a week ago.

Rashford, Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are among the players who are key for this Manchester United impressive form.

However, one of them namely Eriksen will be ruled out for about two months as club statement confirms today after his injury last week in FA Cup.

“Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen is expected to be out of action for an extended period because of an ankle injury sustained in our Emirates FA Cup victory over Reading on Saturday”, MU stated.

“While investigations are continuing, initial assessments indicate that Eriksen is likely to be out until late April or early May.”

Knowing that Man United double tie against Barcelona will be in February with the first leg on 16th at Nou Camp and second leg on 23rd at Old Trafford, Eriksen will be watching from the stands. A great loss for the Red Devils.
