CAF Champions League CAFCC: Acquah Delighted With Goal Against DC Motema Pembe

Paul Acquah, a midfielder for Rivers United, is ecstatic after helping his team defeat the DR Congo’s DC Motema Pembe on the road.

When their facility failed to receive CAF approval, the Congolese team was forced to use Luanda, Angola as their home venue for the Confederations Cup.

From the opening kickoff, the Nigerian champions pressed their opponent and didn’t give up despite losing a player late in the first half.

They achieved a significant away victory when Paul Acquah scored the crucial goal in the 53rd minute.

Acquah responded to the game by making sure they received the most points possible and celebrating their goal.

” I’m happy about the goal that I scored and I thanked God for scoring the goal and winning the game for my team.

“I think everyone is working hard for the team”, he said.

In Matchday 4 of the league, which is scheduled to take place at Goodwill Akpabio stadium in Uyo, Rivers United will face the same opponent.
