Benin AFCON 2025: CAF To Visit Nigeria, Benin Republic For Assessment

During March 31 and April 2nd, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will visit Nigeria and the Benin Republic to assess venues for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria and Benin Republic have jointly submitted a bid to co-host Africa’s premier soccer tournament.

The CAF crew is tasked with inspecting stadiums, training grounds, lodgings, and other crucial facilities that will guarantee the competition runs well.

The other nations that have submitted bids to host the biannual event are Zambia, South Africa, Morocco, Algeria, and Algeria.

The competition was originally supposed to be held in Guinea, but that honor was revoked owing to inadequate and rapid preparations.

You may remember that in 2000, Nigeria and Ghana shared hosting duties for the AFCON.
