Victor Osimhen, a striker for the Super Eagles, has been crowned the best striker in the Italian Serie A for the 2022–23 campaign.

With Napoli, Osimhen has had a fantastic season.

The Nigerian striker is having the finest season of his career thus far, scoring 30 goals in all competitions.

In Serie A, the 24-year-old goal-scoring machine has scored 25 goals, leading the league in that category.

In addition, Osimhen has broken the records of George Weah and Samuel Eto’o in the Serie A, writing his name there forever.

The record for the most goals scored by an African in a single Serie A season is presently held by him.

Osimhen has scored more goals than any other striker in Serie A history.

The former Lille player has previously won the Serie A Player of the Month title several times, but he has now added a new trophy to his collection.

The 2022–23 season’s Best Striker award has been given to Osimhen.

Rafael Leao of AC Milan and Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan were also nominated alongside him.

He becomes the first player from Napoli to receive the honor.

The first African player to win it is also him.

Additionally, when he increased his goal total to 47, he beat George Weah’s record for the most goals scored by an African in Serie A.
