Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo said the Saudi Pro League is better than Lionel Messi’s Major Soccer League (MLS) while answering a question over his future with the Riyadh-based outfit.

Ronaldo is linked with another Premier League comeback these last days.

The five-time Ballon d’or is said to be in the wiewfinder of Saudi-laid club Newcastle.

And despite the club’s coach Eddie owe debunking the rimors, they are yet to stop.

Cristiano Ronaldo who played his first pre-season game tonight (0-5 defeat to Celta Vigo) confirmed himself to the media that he is not returning to Europe taking dit at MLS where Messi will played this season after signing for Inter Miami.

“I won’t return to European football, the door is completely closed”, Ronaldo said, as per Fabrizio Romano.

“I’m 38 years old, also European football has lost lot of quality… only valid one is Premier League, they’re way ahead of all the other leagues.

“Saudi league is better than MLS.

“I’m 100% sure I won’t return to any European club. I opened the way to Saudi league… and now all the players are coming here.”
