Tanzania Done Deal: Pyramids FC unveil Fiston Mayele from Yanga SC

Egyptian Premier League outfit Pyramids FC have officially unveiled Fiston Mayele as their new striker ahead of the upcoming season.

The 29-year-old former Young Africans (Yanga SC) player was paraded through the club’s official social media pages on Saturday night. Arguably, it is among the most expensive international transfer to be accomplished by a Tanzanian team in history.

It is claimed that the Jangwani-based giants pocketed 2bn/- from Pyramids to seal the deal though they have not officially confirmed. Mayele excelled to win the Golden Boot last season after notching 17 goals plus claiming the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the 2022-23 Premier League campaign.

In one of his interviews, the DR Congo import goal poacher, who was also a transfer target for South Africa giants Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs, admitted that last season was superb in his football career.
