FIFA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP FIFAWWC: Earp Wins Golden Glove As Miyazawa Claim Golden Boot

Spain defeated England 1-0 in the final of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Olga Carmona, a 23-year-old Spanish player, gave Spain the lead in the 29th minute with a left-footed shot.

La Roja won the World Cup for the first time thanks to Olga’s goal.

For the first time ever, Spain and England both made it to the Women’s World Cup final.

In the semi-final round, the Spanish La Roja defeated Sweden, the second runner-up in the tournament, with a score of 2-1.

The Lionesses defeated Australia 3-1 in the semifinal match.

Australia and New Zealand, the World Cup hosts, were ousted in the semifinal and group rounds, respectively.

New Zealand, the co-host, was eliminated from the contest following a scoreless tie with Switzerland. New Zealand is now the first Women’s World Cup host nation to lose in the group stage.

The Spanish team completes a historic trifecta by winning the U-17 (2018, 2022), U-20 (2022), and National Team (2023) World Cups with their first victory in their first World Cup final.
