The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has signed a three-year Television Broadcasting rights of the NBC Championship League (NBC CL) with TV3 worth 613m/-.

Speaking at a signing ceremony held in Dar es Salaam, the federation’s President Wallace Karia said the deal will promote transparency in the NBC CL. “Everything will now be exposed unlike previously when the league was not being broadcast on Television.”

Again, Karia thanked the government under the presidency of Samia Suluhu Hassan for creating an enabling environment for domestic investors. He further pointed out that people around the world will have an opportunity to see the tough competition of NBC CL.

On his part, TV3 Program Manager Emmanuel Sikawa said with the partnership, they will broadcast over 170 matches. “The championship league in total has 240 matches but for the time being, we are ready to beam 170 games,” said Sikawa.
