Premier League Nketiah Ends Goal Drought As Arsenal Trounce Sheffield United

Eddie Nketiah, an Arsenal striker, put an incredible end to his goal drought on Saturday by scoring a hat-trick as his team thrashed Sheffield United 5-0 at home in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old, who made his debut for England in its entirety this month, has not scored for the Gunners since August and has just been benched.

But after he claimed his first Arsenal hat trick, he discovered that the overworked defense of bottom club United was far more to his taste.

Substituting for the injured Gabriel Jesus, Nketiah opened the score in the 28th minute with a brilliant finish following a feed from Declan Rice. Shortly after the break, he made it 2-0 with a powerful goal after United goalie Wes Foderingham failed to stop Bukayo Saka’s corner.

But the finest was reserved for last—Nketiah retrieved the ball and raised it into the air after launching an unstoppable shot into the upper corner.
Later, Nketiah dedicated his hat-trick to his recently deceased aunt.

Following a foul on Fabio Vieira by Oliver Norwood, a VAR check resulted in a penalty kick in the 88th minute. Takehiro Tomiyasu, an Arsenal replacement, then finished the scoring with a close-range goal to complete the rout.
