On Saturday night, the team intensified its preparations in an attempt to secure a spot and compete in the 2024 Olympics.

Training began at 4:00 p.m. and ended at 6:00 p.m. The team’s interim head coach, Justin Madugu, worked with the attackers towards the end of the session on shooting accuracy. Rasheedat Ajibade and Asisat Oshoala demonstrated a high degree of scoring experience while alternately facing the three goalkeepers.

Prior to placing the wingers, full backs and attackers in front of the goalkeeper and defenders for tactical training to improve their scoring ability, the players were asked to reach their maximum level of fitness. They warmed up right away on the natural grass pitch. During the training, Chiamaka Nnadozie, the Super Falcons’ starting goalie, made several amazing saves that drew the attention of the onlookers at the Turf.

Twenty players turned out for the practise in advance of their Olympics qualifying match on Tuesday.

The three previous Olympic games saw the nine-time African champions lose out on participation.
