Kenya Nyamweya pledges Ksh50k for every Shabana win after Nzoia Sugar display

Shabana FC Patron Sam Nyamweya has pledged to reward the team with Ksh50, 000 in every win they register in their FKF Premier League matches until the end of the season.

In a bid to motivate the players and the technical bench, Nyamweya further confirmed for any draw in the remaining 16 matches, the team will receive Ksh25, 000.

“We want to motivate the team so that we keep our status in the league, the bonus will go a long way to inspire both the players and the technical bench,” Nyamweya told Africa Top Sports.

“The personal reward to the players started immediately after the win against Nzoia Sugar, the players will be rewarded for the superb show away in Sudi, so they will receive Ksh50, 000.”

Nyamweya further described new coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo as the right man capable of helping the Kisii-based Glamour Boys to avoid relegation.

“Omollo was a good choice for the team, he has the experience to help us, and I am happy he won the first match. I recommended to the team to hire his services and it is good they listened to me and gave him the job on a permanent deal.”

Omollo, who came in to replace Sammy Okoth, guided Shabana to an emphatic 5-2 victory against Nzoia at Sudi Stadium on Sunday in his first match in charge.

A hat-trick from man of the match Justine Omwando and a brace courtesy of new signing Mathew Tegisi ensured that Omollo guided Tore Bobe to their fourth victory of the campaign and revived their hopes of avoiding relegation at the end of the season.

The victory saw Shabana move above Sofapaka to position 16, two places above the relegation zone with 17 points.
