When Tunisia plays Mali at Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium on Saturday, they want to bounce back from their initial loss at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Namibia surprised the Carthaginian Eagles on Tuesday, and in the opening Group E match, the West African team easily defeated South Africa.
Mali’s pressing against South Africa was impressive, as the Eagles defeated Bafana Bafana 2-0 by forcing 11 costly turnovers.
From those forced ball regains, the West African team produced three shots, which was more than any other team in the competition’s opening round of matches.
Mali is eager to reverse this statistic by defeating Tunisia, as they have never advanced past the first round of a competition in three straight years.
In their two prior AFCON encounters with the North African team, the Eagles are unbeaten, having defeated the 2004 winners 1-0 in the previous edition. Chelle and his team will be happy with a repeat performance.
Here is how both teams line up
