AFCON AFCON 2023: DR Congo’s late goal denies Morocco round of 16 spot

Morocco missed out on a chance to seal their place in the knockout stage of the Africa Cup of Nations after being held to 1-1 draw by DR Congo in their second group match at Stade de San Pedro on Sunday.

After Morocco took the lead, DR Congo were handed a route back into the Group F clash when VAR awarded a penalty after a Moroccan handball in the box on 42 minutes.
