AFCON AFCON 2023: Nigeria Vs Guinea-Bissau Confirmed Starting XI

Guinea-Bissau takes on Nigeria at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium on Monday in an attempt to avoid losing their group stage match for the fourth time in a row.

After losing to Equatorial Guinea and Ivory Coast, the Djurtus are not certain to make the playoffs.

However, if they defeat Nigeria in the last round of Group A matches, they can advance as one of the top third-place teams.

After falling to top-seeded Equatorial Guinea 4-2 on Thursday, Guinea-Bissau’s chances of qualifying for AFCON 2023 look dire as they face certain elimination.

For their part, the three-time champion Super Eagles can’t afford to take it easy before Monday’s pivotal match in order to guarantee qualification.

Peseiro’s team is in control after defeating Ivory Coast 1-0 in front of a biassed crowd; four points should be plenty to guarantee a spot in the first round of elimination.

Even though the Super Eagles might finish first with a win, the African giants need to improve their scoring after missing numerous excellent opportunities in the draw with Equatorial Guinea and even if they defeated the Elephants.

Whatever the case, the club’s obvious defensive strength helps them in tournament football as they try to overcome a team they defeated 2-0 at AFCON 2021.

Here is how both teams line up
