Premier League Foden Hit Hat Trick As Man City Beat Brentford

The Premier League’s top three teams are separated by just two points following Phil Foden’s hat-trick against Brentford on Monday.

Pep Guardiola remarked that Foden is having his greatest season at Manchester City.

Although City and Arsenal are now tied with 49 points, two points behind Liverpool, Guardiola’s team still has a game remaining to take the lead.

Despite trailing in each of their four away games, the reigning champions made Premier League history by becoming the first team to win four straight away games.

Against the run of play, Neal Maupay gave the Bees the lead, but after Foden levelled in stoppage time in the first half, there was little doubt about the result.

After the interval, the England international was set up by Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland to clinch his second career hat-trick.

While De Bruyne and Haaland have been sidelined by injuries in recent months, City’s championship opponents may be regretting not seizing an advantage as they appear certain to become the first team to ever win four straight English premier league titles.
