Dstv Premiership Nwabali In Action As Chippa United Thrash Richards Bay

Stanley Nwabali was in action as Chippa United defeated Richards Bay 3-0 on Wednesday to claim their first DStv Premiership victory in five games.

Nwabali who was exceptional for the Super Eagles at the AFCON 2023 kept a clean sheet as he in the game.
After drawing 1-1 with Cape Town City and Stellenbosch in their opening two 2024 games, Chippa was hoping to continue their winning streak under September and Kopo.

In the meantime, Richards Bay looked to end a run of two games without a victory. After defeating SuperSport United 3-1 in Vusumuzi Vilakazi’s debut game as manager on December 30, the team lost consecutive games against Sekhukhune United and Royal AM since the league started.

After replacing Martin at the hour mark, Kayden Francis made an immediate impression by scoring the Eastern Cape club’s first goal on minute 74 to secure the victory.

Three days from now, Chippa will face the formidable Mamelodi Sundowns at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium, while on Saturday, March 9, Richards Bay will host TS Galaxy at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium.
