Three Lions head coach Gareth Southagte did not hold back while talking about an Arsenal star who refused to play for England in this international break.

The 53-year old named his squad earlier on Thursday for the upcoming FIFA break later this month.

England will take on Brazil and Belgium, two prestigious friendly games but not as much to change Ben White’s decision not to make himself available for this month.

“We had a call from Edu last week to say that Ben didn’t want to be considered for England squads at this time. It’s a great shame”, he said during his press conference.

White extended his contract with Arsenal today committing on a long-term now but his decision to be focused on his club could prevent him from playing the European Championship next summer.
