UEFA Champions League UCL : Guardiola reveals plan “to hurt” Real Madrid

Real Madrid Man City Guardiola

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said his side will be travelling to the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday to hurt Real Madrid in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash.

On their way to their first-ever Champions league triumph last season, Man City knocked out Real Madrid in semifinals.

Both teams path cross again this season and Guardiola’s goal is to beat “Los Blancos” again even though it is going to be difficult.

“It is difficult. To beat Madrid twice in a row is difficult. In this competition the target is not easy. They have pride, they have to be smart and play and we will see what happens in the second leg”, he said in his pre-match press conference.

“We cannot come here just to control the game, we have to hurt Real Madrid to punish them, to try to score goals”, he added.
