CAF CONFEDERATION CUP CAFCC: Africa Biggest Four Teams Return To Battle

The first leg of the semi-finals between four of the biggest football teams in Africa will take place, setting up an exciting stage for the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2023–2024 on Sunday, April 21.

The remaining teams competing for the coveted CAF Confederation Cup are RS Berkane (Morocco), Dreams FC (Ghana), USM Alger (Algeria), and Zamalek (Egypt).

The first leg semi-finals are set for this weekend and should provide exciting matches.

The return leg is scheduled for April 28, 2024. Three of these teams have a combined record of four championship victories.

USM Alger, the reigning champions, will go up against RSB Berkane, the winners from 2019–20 and 2021–2022, to try and retain their title.

The 2018–19 champions Zamalek will play host to Dreams FC in Cairo for the opening leg of the semi-final of a season that will be Dreams FC’s first in any continental competition.

Kumasi is where the return leg will take place. Dreams FC qualified for the semi-finals by defeating Stade Malien Bamako of Mali, likewise with a 3-2 aggregate score, while Zamalek defeated Modern Future of Egypt to earn their position.

All four teams will be vying for a coveted berth in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup Final.

The first leg of the match is planned for Saturday, May 11, 2024, and the second leg is slated for Saturday, May 18, 2024.
