Ghana host Nigeria in the first leg of their World Cup play-off tie at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. And Popular Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has banked on the Black Stars to win today’s match against the Super Eagles.

The renowned vowed to walk over 1,075 kilometers on barefoot from Accra to Lagos with ginger on his head the next day after the match if the Black Stars lose.

The 38-year-old politician expressed staunch confidence in the ability of the Black Stars of Ghana to come through victoriously.

“There’s no way Nigeria will win today’s match. If they do, I John Setor Dumelo, will walk barefoot from Accra to Lagos tomorrow morning with my ginger on my head. Super Eagles my foot.” Dumelo tweeted.

The Nigerian team have already landed in Kumasi. And the welcome at the Kumasi international airport was said to be distasteful, as the Super Eagles players and officials had to employ different techniques to jump down from the plane as the ramp that was provided was too short for the aircraft.

The Ghanaian airport authorities have however, apologised, stating that they were not prepared for the size of the aircraft that was conveying the Nigerian contingent.
