African players abroad Salah Happy To See His Promise For Liverpool Fulfilled

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah says he believes his promise to win the Premier League with the club when he joined them is about to be fulfilled.

Salah was on his best for the Reds who romped to a 4-0 win over Crystal Palace to edge closer being crowned Premier League champions.

The former Africa Player Of The Year joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017 and has already won the Champions League title with the club.

Salah scored Liverpool second goal against Crystal Palace at Anfield as Liverpool edge closer to win the league title after 29 years.

Salah scored his side second goal and also provided an assist for reigning Africa Footballer Of The Year, Sadio Mane to put an icing on the cake.

Trent Alexander-Arnold had opened scoring for Jurgen Klopp men while Fabinho scored the third to see the Reds go 25 points clear at the top with seven games remaining.

Speaking with Skysports after the crucial win, Salah said it is Liverpool’s turn to win the league title after they narrowly lost it to Manchester City.

“I feel great. He began”

“Since I came here I said I want to win the Premier League with the team.

“The city didn’t win it for a long time, so it was the right time.

“Maybe last year we had a chance to win it but Man City also performed really good and they won it.

“It’s our time to win it and it’s great.”

The Reds are just two points away to be crowned the new champions and should Manchester City fail to beat Chelsea, the title will be heading to Anfield.

Commenting on the closeness of his team to become the next champions after 29 years Salah said;

“Two points to go to win the league, it’s great.

“We had a great performance today and all the players were unbelievable.

“I’m happy about the result and looking forward to the next two games.

“I think all the players are motivated, everyone is motivated in his way – but everyone is motivated to win the league.”

The Reds moved to within two points of being crowned champions after comfortably dispatching Crystal Palace 4-0 at Anfield on Wednesday night.

The league leaders could even be confirmed as winners on Thursday evening, should reigning holders Manchester City fail to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
