Kenyan middle-distance runner Timothy Cheruiyot appeared to be one of the rare Africans athletes that satisfied on Sunday in Diamond League as he won in the 1,500m.

The Kenyan clocked a time of 3mn 30-25. He was ahead of the Norwegian Jakob Ingebrigtsen.

This is the 16th Diamond League victory for Cheruiyot.

In addition, victory in length for Rsuwahl Samaai. The South African, with a jump to 8m09 wins. He is ahead of the Swedish Thobias Montler (8m06) and the Finnish Kristian Pulli.

A success not necessarily to Samaai’s taste, according to the new rules of the event.
