Egypt Zamalek Have An Idea Of Who Can Replace Mostafa Mohamed

Mostafa Mohamed finally secured his move abroad by joining Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray on loan with an option to buy. A transfer that occurred after long negotiations. And Zamalek’s football supervisor, Ashraf Kassem, talked about the possible players to replace Mostafa Mohamed

The 23-year-old will leave an empty spot in Zamalek’s striking options. As the only two replacements are unreliable Omar El-Said and youngster Osama Faisal.

The Whites are therefore looking to sign a high calibre lead their attack. And they have revealed their current options.

Mostafa Mohamed’s dream was to move abroad. He was very ambitious and prioritized himself which is normal. The board preferred to send him out on loan for one year-and-a-half.” Kassem told OnTime Sports TV.

I’ve been looking at videos of African strikers for the past 20 days. And I recommended Kwame Opoku from Asanta Kotoko and the Ghanaian league’s top scorer. But we have a an issue because we reached our limit of foreign players in the squad.

In my opinion Misr El-Makkasa’s Marwan Hamdi is the best option for Zamalek. Because he’s very young and very dangerous upfront. If we sign the duo it will make life easier for the manager.” .He added.

Opoku is a 21-year-old striker who just made his professional debut this season. And he has already five goals to his name this season in just nine appearances. Meanwhile, Hamdi is one of the Egyptian Premier League’s top scorers with four goals in seven games this season.

Kassem than discussed Ounajem’s possible departure and Bassem Morsy’s return.

Wydad Casablanca demanded to sign Mohamed Ounajem on loan for free. Something the board didn’t approve of.” He continued

I don’t think he’ll [Morsy] join us.” He said.

Zamalek recently re-signed Egyptian winger Ayman Hefny on a permanent basis, after the 35-year-old expressed his desire to return to the club.

We’re all happy that he’s back. We sympathized with him due to his personal issues. Especially after leaving us to join Arab Contractors, then Misr El-Makkasa and not being able to register in the EFA.” Kassem explained.

He’s not a trouble maker. And if he trains well he might appear. His return doesn’t open the door to other players to return just to honor them.” He continued.

Kassem concluded his statements by discussing Ferjani Sassi’s contract situation and defended Ahmed Sayed Zizo.

I sat with him [Sassi] on several occasions. And he told me that he’s fully focused in training, which showed in the Makkasa game. And he still has a lot to offer. He will renew once his agent returns to Egypt, I feel that he wants to stay.” He said.

He’s been unlucky. He’s very hard-working and respects the manager’s instructions and wants to play the full 90 minutes. These are indications that he’s very professional. And he’s a very influential player. And his presence is crucial. At the end of the day he does what’s asked of him.” He concluded.
