CAF Champions League CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE : MAZEMBE IN MINOR INJURY SETBACK AHEAD OF CLASH AGAINST SUNDOWNS

TP Mazembe FC have some injury concerns ahead of the CAF Champions League group stage match against South African champions TP Mazembe on Saturday.

Mazembe website reports that Godet Masengo has been ruled out of the clash alongside Isaac Tshibangu.

Due to illness, Godet MASENGO will not be ready on Saturday. The infirmary has a new resident: Isaac TSHIBANGU. The youngster – affected with Lupopo – has had an ultrasound, he is put to rest for proper care of his knee. The medical staff hope to recover them both soon enough.

“As for Joseph Benson OCHAYA, the Ugandan left at the start of the second half during the derby for an ankle pain, he has recovered and feels better. He follows an adapted post-injury program,” Mazembe website reports. 

Ahead of the match, Mazembe played a training match against CS Don Bosco on Tuesday.

Mazembe are winless in the group games after drawing 0-0 against Belouizdad from Algeria and Al Hilal of Sudan.

Even in the domestic league, Mazembe cannot just score evidenced by their lacklustre 0-0 draw against rivals Lupopo.

Sundowns lead the group with six points from two games whereas Mazembe have two points from two games.
