Joined this morning by our colleagues of Radio Sport FM from Accra with regards to the false alarm about the non-participation of Sheyi in Afcon, the spokesman of the Togolese Football Federation, Amavi Ayayi Patatou through his interview, opened the eyes of the Togolese football fans.
“An hour before the deposition, coach, Didier Six has established a list without Sheyi. The president of the FTF convened a crisis meeting in Ghana. During this sitting, Didier said he had met at the hotel Sheyi and the latter told him that he will not be with the Hawks in Afcon. And that he did not expect to include Sheyi in his list. And we said, as Sheyi at the end of the meeting with the president, said he came back to the selection, you cannot rely on this statement and exclude him from the list (…). The president told me that we have to put Sheyi and Agassa and we will honor the saying of the head of State (…). Now I say this, even if there were other statements, I say, Sheyi would not be there (Accra) if he does not want to play Afcon. “
Togo’s participation in Afcon still knows a move that is just going to rub the hands of his opponents housed in Group D and based in Rustenberg, South Africa.
