In opener of the Dstv Premiership, defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns trashed Kaizer Chiefs with a convincing 3-0 victory as Peter Shalulile scored the first league goal this season.

SuperSport United also defeated Black Leopards 2-0. While Orlando Pirates drew to Siphiwe Tshabalala‘s AmaZulu.
