African players abroad Dietmar Hamann Has Found Potential Replacement For Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move away from Liverpool for a while now. Especially after giving an interview to AS where he vaguely hinted that he could possibly leave the club. And former Bayern Munich midfielder, Dietmar Hamann, has expressed himself on who he believes should replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool if he is to leave the Reds.

The Egyptian has also been reportedly unhappy with Liverpool, especially after being denied the captaincy in their Champions League encounter against Midtjylland.

However, the tension seems to have eased between him and the coaching staff. But Hamann still gave his verdict on who he believes should replace him.

For me, the best winger out there at the moment is Kingsley Coman.” Hamann told Stadium Astro.

He had injury problems when he came to Munich. But he got fit and scored the winner in the Champions League final.

“He’s two-footed, he’s quick, he’s very clever, great decision making. And his finishing has improved a lot.

“Coman is the player. Bayern Munich aren’t interested in losing him, he’s happy.

“If Salah were to move, if he wants to go, which might be quite likely, that will have a knock-on effect. Liverpool will have to buy somebody.

“Whoever they sign, that team will need to buy a replacement. Things happen quickly.” He concluded.

Salah’s overall tally in the 2020 season is 16 goals and four assists in 21 games across all competitions. With 13 of these goals coming in the Premier League. But the Egypt star has been without a goal for the Reds in their final two games in 2020 against West Brom and Newcastle.
