Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have made an excellent start to their Premier League campaign. They are currently top of the table on goals scored ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool. And the feel-good feeling around the club has been bolstered by the return of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese, who scored twice on his second debut against Newcastle on Saturday, was part of the last United side to win the Champions League back in 2008. And he went on to win the competition on a further four occasions with Real Madrid.

Scott McTominay is still absent after groin surgery. But Fred is likely to return in midfield after sitting out Saturday’s win over Newcastle.

Edinson Cavani also missed that match with a knock. And he has not travelled to Switzerland, although the striker has a chance of featuring against West Ham on Sunday.

Solskjaer must decide whether to had Ronaldo another start or manage his minutes.
