Newly promoted Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL Remo Stars began the 2021/2022 season on high as they defeated MFM FC 2-0 in the opening game of the season.
Remo Stars who got promoted to the NPFL after an hiatus ensured the gave a good account of themselves having signed quality players to help the team get the work done.
The club under the tutelage of experienced Gbenga Ogunbote who is known as the Oracle were the better side at their new home ground, the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.

It was the fifth time that Remo Stars met the Olukoya Boys and it was their first ever win against their visitors.
Their previous meeting had seen MFM won three of the previous four meeting while one ended in a draw.
Goals from Qudus Akanni and Andy Okpe was what Remo needed to get the three points at home.
The NPFL continues on Sunday with mouthwatering encounter including defending champions, Akwa United hosting Kano Pillars in Uyo.
The first Oriental derby of the season would be between neighbours, Enyimba FC hosting Abia Warriors at the Enyimba International Stadium.
