Algeria beat North Africa rivals Tunisia 2-0 to win Fifa Arab Cup for the first time ever in Qatar on Saturday.
The Africa champions scored late in extra time at Al Bayt Stadium to lay their hands on the trophy.
Brahimi Yacine and Sayoud Amir scored for Algeria to shrug off the challenge of Tunisia who had forced the game into a stalemate in regulation time.
Amir scored in the ninth minute of extra time via a sensational strike before Yacine sealed the win with delightful free-kick in the dying minutes of the game.
High profile dignatories including Fifa boss Gianni Infantino witnessed the final.
Tunisia were aiming for their second Fifa Arab Cup but it was not to be as they met strong opposition.
The cup served as a dress rehersal for Qatar which will host the World Cup in 2022.
