AFCON Peseiro Releases 25-Man Squad List Ahead AFCON 2023 Qualifiers

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has revealed a list of 25 players, which includes captain Ahmed Musa and striker Victor Osimhen.

The list was published before of two 2023 African Nations Cup qualifiers against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe.

When Nigeria takes against Sierra Leone at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on June 9 before heading to Sao Tome & Principe on June 13, 2022, the Portuguese strategist will have a big chance to lead the squad to victory for the first time.

Peseiro’s first two matches as Eagles coach were a 1-2 loss to Mexico and a 1-0 loss to Ecuador in international friendlies conducted in the United States of America.

Meanwhile, two players, Ahmed Musa and Victor Osimhen, who were not part of the friendly matches, were included on the 25-man list.
