Thunder boss Karen Greig has lauded a near-perfect season as her side went unbeaten.

Thunder wrapped up the season with 60-53 win over Loughborough Lightning in the final to lift the trophy at London’s Copper Box Arena on Sunday.

“I don’t think you can get any closer than that,” Greig told Sky Sports.

“A lot of our girls will probably turn around and say this is the best squad we’ve ever had.

The unitedness of the team has been phenomenal, the girls have got each other’s backs.

Mvula plays in the United Kingdom alongside compatriot defender Towera Vinkhumbo Nyirenda for Strathclyde Sirens.

Another Malawian shooter Mwawi Kumwenda is on the books of Vixens in Australia.
