CAF CONFEDERATION CUP CAF Women Champions League: Bayelsa Queens To Play Ghana Club In WAFU B Qualifier

Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions, Bayelsa Queens have been drawn against Ghanaian Women Football League Champions, Ampem Darkoa in the WAFU B qualifiers for the CAF Women Champions League.

The draw was held on Wednesday in Egypt as the reigning NWFL champions will be hoping to follow the step of Rivers Angels who represented Nigeria in the maiden edition of the tournament last year.

Bayelsa Queens are drawn in Group B alongside USFA of Burkina Faso and Athleta FC of Togo.

The WAFU B CAF Women Champions League will begin from September 13 to the 20th in Abidjan.

Unfortunately, maiden edition winners, Hasaaca Ladies and Rivers Angels did not qualify for this year’s edition.

Unlike the maiden edition where two teams from WAFU B represented the zone, this season will see just one club representing the region at the main tournament in Egypt.
