Senegal national team opened training camp in Qatar on Monday evening ahead of FIFA World Cup 2022 kick off with Sadio Mane missing out on this first session with injury.

The Bayern Munich star picked an injury “to the head of his right fibula” as revealed by the German side few days ago.

If uncertainty was hovering over his presence in Qatar for the global tournament, Aliou Cisse included him in his squad despite his inury.

The 30-year old is yet to report to camp in Qatar with his teammates as he continues to receive cares.

Apart from Mane, the other Teranga Lions took part into the first training session under Aliou Cisse on Monday evening in Doha.

Chelsea duo Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly showed up for this opening day for the African champions.

Senegal are in Group A where they will face Netherlands (November 21), Qatar (November 25) and Ecuador (November 29).
