The Interim Management Committee has conducted the draws for the Nigeria Premier Football League Super Six playoff round and released the schedule.

The Super Six round of matches will take place over five MatchDays, with each day’s kickoff time falling between 2 pm and 6 pm.

Rivers United, the defending NPFL champions, took on Akure-based Sunshine Stars in the first match of the day. Bendel Insurance, also unbeaten, took on Lobi Stars, while Remo and Enyimba completed the schedule.

Remember that the playoffs split the six clubs into two groups: Group A included teams like Remo Stars, Bendel Insurance, and Enyimba, while Group B included teams like Rivers United, Lobi Stars, and Sunshine Stars.

The playoff will feature five games played by each of the six teams in a round-robin format, with the team with the most points winning the 2023 Abridged NPFL season.

The top three teams receive automatic qualification to the Champions League, while the fourth-best team and the Federation Cup winner automatically qualify for the Confederations Cup.

The standings of the playoffs also determine which teams will compete in CAF competitions for the 2023–24 season.
