Transfer window Ceballos pens four-year Real Madrid extension

Real Madrid have confirmed midfielder Dani Ceballos has extended his stay with the Spanish giants.

In a statement on their official website, Real Madrid said: “Real Madrid and Dani Ceballos have agreed an extension to the player’s contract, keeping him tied to the club until June 30, 2027.”

Ceballos has made 120 appearances for the Real Madrid first team over the course of four seasons, during which time he has won 11 trophies: two European Cups, three Club World Cups, two European Super Cups, one LaLiga title, one Copa del Rey, and two Spanish Super Cups.

He has picked up 13 international caps with Spain, being crowned European champion with his country’s U19 and U21 teams. In 2019, Ceballos joined Premier League club Arsenal on a season-long loan and made his first start for Arsenal on August 17, in a 2-1 victory over Burnley, providing two assists in a man-of-the-match performance.

On October 3, Ceballos scored his first goal for Arsenal in a 4-0 home victory against Standard Liège.
