CAF Champions League CAF WCL:Delta Queens Drawn In Group A As Asaba Hosts WAFU Zone B Playoffs

Nigeria Women Football League NWFL champions, Delta Queens have been drawn in Group A of the WAFU Zone B for the CAF Women’s Champions League WCL.

On Wednesday, the Mohammed VI Complex in Rabat, Morocco, hosted the official draw for the Cote d’Ivoire-based CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers.

Delta Queens were placed in Group A for the WAFU Zone B, which will be held in Nigeria between August 18 and August 31.

In this group, they will play SAM Nelly of Benin, Union Sportive of Burkina Faso and Athletico of Cote D’Ivoire

Ampem Darkoa from Ghana takes on As Garde from Niger as well as Friend of the World from Togo in Group B of the Zone.

Yusuf Musi, the director of CECAFA Competitions, was the first to conduct the draw, which consisted of two groups of five players each and one group of four for his zone.

Uganda’s Kampala Queens joined Ethiopia’s CBE, Djibouti’s FAD, Burundi’s Buja Queens, and Sudan’s Yei Gaskets in Group A.

JKT Queens of Tanzania will compete in Group B against Vihiga Queens of Kenya, AS Kigali of Rwanda, and New Generation of Zanzibar, Tanzania.

Between August 12 and August 24, the drawn clubs will compete, with the victor representing CECAFA in Cote D’Ivoire.

The qualifiers for the UNAF Zone will be held in Oran, Algeria, from August 12–30 to decide who would represent the zone.

The draw for the UNAF Zone was handled by Mootez Belleh Dachraoui, Head of Competitions.

As Feminine of Tunisia, Wadi Delga of Egypt, and SC Casablanca of Morocco will compete, while the defending champions AS Far will gain straight qualifying.

Abdoulaye Cisse, the zone’s director of competitions, performed an intriguing draw for WAFU Zone A, where the qualifiers are scheduled for August 5–13 in Liberia.

As the host nation, Determine Girls of Liberia will compete against AS Mande, Dakar Sacre Coeur of Senegal, and Mogbewmo Queens of Sierra Leone.
