Benjamin Mendy is back to playing football again as the 29-year old left-back signs with a new club following Chester Crown Court’s verdict over his alleged rape and attempted rape.

On July 14, Mendy heaved a big sight of relief as he was found non guilty of rape and attempted rape by the Chester Crown Court after two years of wait.

The former Manchester City star who was spotted playing with random men has now signed with a new club.

French Ligue 1 side FC Lorient have announced the capture of the 2018 World Cup winner on a two-year deal until June 2025.

“FC Lorient is pleased to announce today the signing for two seasons of French international left-back Benjamin Mendy (29)”, the club statement reads.

“After having satisfied the traditional medical examination, Benjamin Mendy, world champion 2018, quadruple winner of the Premier League under the colors of Manchester City and French champion of Ligue 1 with Monaco in particular, comes to reinforce the Lorient workforce for this new season. .
