Transfers Done Deal: Telles quits Man United to join Ronaldo at Al Nassr

Brazil defender Alex Telles has left Manchester United to join Al-Nassr in a permanent transfer.

Telles, 30, is set for a reunion with former Man United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, who signed for the Saudi Pro League side in January. The fee or length of his contract have not been confirmed by either club.

“Alex Telles has completed a permanent move from Manchester United to Al-Nassr,” Man United confirmed on their official website, adding: “The 30-year-old full-back has joined the Saudi Premier League outfit following 50 first-team appearances for the Reds.”

The Brazil international signed for Man United from FC Porto in October 2020 and competed with Luke Shaw for the left-back position over the next two seasons, memorably scoring a brilliant goal – his only strike for Man United – in the 2-1 Champions League victory over Villarreal in September 2021.

He spent the 2022-23 season on loan with Sevilla, winning the Europa League title. Telles is the latest Premier League player to make the switch, following Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante and Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino.
