Meanwhile, while KCCA used to the occasion for their upcoming league and Confederation Cup matches, they also launched the 2023-24 home kit ahead of the new season. The jersey will be available for sale starting Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 50,000ugx.

The inspiration behind the jersey is from iconic buildings around Kampala. Our desire is to showcase the beauty and meaning that Kampala has. The buildings showcased include the Independence Monument, Bulange Mengo, Namirembe Cathedral, Bahai Temple, City Hall, and Gaddafi Mosque among others.

The back of the jersey has KCCA’s “Smart City” Campaign. This is to create awareness about the City Campaign. The “Smart City” agenda is centered on three pillars; Technology, Infrastructure, and people’s well-being. As cities on the continent continue to grow and face new challenges, initiatives like KCCA’s smart city strategy are becoming increasingly important to ensure sustainable development and improve the lives of urban residents.
