Inter Miami skipper Lionel Messi discussed his retirement on Wednesday during an interview with Apple TV.

Only a month after joining teh MLS side, Messi won his first trophy as he lifted the Leagues Cup last week.

Being 36 now, many are questioning the seven-time Ballon d’or winner’s future as he has won everything in football.

However, the 2022 World Cup winner seems not to be thinking about hanging his boots for the moment.

“Retirement? I still don’t think about retirement. I like to play, I enjoy being with a ball on the pitch, competing, training”, he said.

Today the most important thing is to enjoy what’s left to the fullest as I’m doing. This football career will not come back in life and I don’t want to regret anything.

“There were two difficult years at PSG, I had lost that feeling of enjoying playing football.

“My trips to the National Team were my happiest moments during that time… Here in Miami I found my happiness with a ball again.”
