Europe Haaland On Target For Norway In 2-1 Win Against Georgia

Erling Haaland scored his 25th goal in 26 international games on Tuesday to help Norway defeat Georgia 2-1 and keep their hopes of qualifying for Euro 2024 alive.

The 23-year-old striker opened the scoring on the quarter-hour mark, and eight minutes later, skipper Martin Odegaard doubled their advantage as the home team dominated the game at Oslo’s Ullevaal stadium.

However, while Norway needed all three points to stay in the running for one of the two Group A qualifying berths, Budu Zivzivadze shook the host team’s composure by rescuing Georgia with a goal in stoppage time.

After five games, Norway is in third place in the group, eight points behind Scotland’s lead and two points behind Spain, who have played one fewer game.
