Barcelona has announced that head coach Xavi Hernandez has extended his deal with the club through 2025 with an additional year’s option.
After Ronald Koeman, a Dutchman, left Barcelona at the end of 2021, the 43-year-old manager joined the club on a three-year contract.
In 96 games as Barca’s head coach, Xavi, a former Spain international, has had 61 victories, 16 draws, and 19 defeats.

In his first season in charge, he led the team to its 27th league title and first in four years while also winning the Spanish Super Cup.
